This old tree is one of the last standing trees left behind from a forest fire many decades ago. The rest of the trees have all been blown over and most have rotted away. This one stands tall and really stands out. When the sun is setting, the light rays really bring out the colors in this tree. This was photographed in Roosevelt National Forest, west of Red Feather Lakes in Colorado.
